Roche in Palo Alto, Calif., is one of the four global research sites for the Swiss-based healthcare company Roche. Our 1,000 scientists and staff are engaged in basic, preclinical and early clinical research in focused disease areas. In our therapy areas we discover and develop compounds through Phase I/II "proof of concept" clinical studies. Our Palo Alto reasearch center also pursues alliances with leading companies and partnerships with academic institutions around the world to gain access to targets and compounds as well as to cutting-edge tools and technologies.
